Helen Swaby - Deputy Manager

I trained at the same time as Cathy and also qualified as an N.N.E.B in 1972, and spent the first 7 years of my career in a local nursery, in the position of nursery nurse. I then took time off to have my own 2 children and returned to work initially part-time, in a local private school.

I met Cathy in 1990 and accepted the position of Deputy Manager when the nursery opened in 1991. The fact that I'm still here after 13 years speaks volumes about what a wonderful working environment and friendly nursery Pooh Corner is, and I am proud of the positive contribution we have made to so many children during that time.
